Struggling with staying humble as a music leader in a worship service is not a pitfall, it is a certainty. The dark-side of a desire to inspire is the desire to be appreciated and seen.
So what do you do? Honestly – pray, repent and move through. A repentant heart is a soft one, a God-focused one, not a self-focused one. Read God’s Word and stay focused on the goal, to lead/inspire/exemplify the worship of God through music.
